The Gospel According to Peanuts
The Gospel According to Peanuts is a wonderfully imaginative experiment in Christian communication. America's most popular comic strip is used as a visual commentary on the text, and the author shows that the theological implications of the Peanuts children's activities can teach us much about ourselves and our life as Christians.
'I consider it a very excellent little book indeed, and I consider the cartoons very helpful and very significant.' - William Barclay
'This is a highly unusual approach in the sense that it actually does what a lot of Christians talk about doing-it sees the secular and the sacred as one and indivisible. And it does it with a sense of humour.'
- Methodist Recorder
'Using his own deep Christian insight and drawing heavily on a wide variety of sources, Mr. Short has given us a minor masterpiece.' - The Universe
'Besides being original and funny the cartoons contain shrewd comment on human nature a popular and breezy book on the Christian faith.' - Expository Times
'It should stimulate ideas for religious instruction material. This is a book which will be enjoyably personal to many, a constant source of reference, and a source of meaningful amusement as it is brought out to be shown to friends.' - British Weekly
