Spiritual Leadership
The Church needs leaders with talent and energy, probably more so today than ever in its history. The world situation demands a strong voice from the church, and this can come only from leaders who are endued with divine authority and whose lives are sacrificially devoted to Jesus Christ.
"Spiritual leadership," Oswald Sanders writes, "is a blending of natural and spiritual qualities. Even the natural qualities are not self-produced, but God-given, and therefore reach their highest effectiveness when employed in the service of God and for His glory."
In writing Spiritual Leadership, the author has provided a significant balanced assessment of this important area of Christianity, The use of appropriate Scripture references as well as suitable illustrations and quotations from the lives of successful Christian leaders lends authority and life to this volume. The Apostle Paul, David Livingstone, Charles Spurgeon, John Wesley, F. B. Meyer, W. E. Sangster, A. W. Tozer, Harold J. Ockenga and others, are called on to make some contribution toward a more complete understanding of Christian leadership.
